Tucked into Antique Alley in downtown Nashville, Indiana, The Yellow Door Quilt Store opened to sewing enthusiasts and Brown County tourists on May 1, 2018. Owner Mary Beth Simms learned to sew more than 50 years ago and started making quilts soon after. Simms originally opened The Yellow Door Quilt Store as a home base for her travels in “Ernie the RV” to quilt shows around the country, but quickly her little quilt shop became the premier supplier of designer fabric in the Midwest. The Yellow Door Quilt Store is the destination for quilters seeking a particular designer fabric or to add something unique to their own sewing creations.
